With reference to the further letter from the Colonial
Office dated the 15th ultimo (39196/1901) announcing that the
scale of salary for the two Examining Supervisors required in
the Post Office at Hong Kong has now been fixed at £200 rising
by annual increments of £15 to £245 a year
conditions remaining the same I am directed by the Postmaster
General to state for the information of Mr. Secretary
Chamberlain that Mr. T.H. Martin, Postman, has accepted an
appointment on these conditions and that Mr. R.A.J. Savage,
Sorter, who wishes to again become a candidate, can be recommen-
ded for the remaining appointment.
In these circumstances further applications have not been
invited.
